畢卡索《寫信的女人（瑪麗 - 德雷莎）》將領銜佳士得倫敦印象派及現代藝術晚間拍賣

巴布羅・畢卡索（Pablo Picasso）以其繆斯為題材的肖像畫作《寫信的女人（瑪麗 - 德雷莎）》今天上午於香港佳士得藝廊隆重揭幕，並將於香港預展至6月9日。此後，這件作品將作為領拍之作，亮相6月27日舉行的倫敦佳士得印象派及現代藝術晚間拍賣。此作繪於1934年3月26日，色彩鮮豔亮麗、筆觸細膩温柔。藝術家以深刻的情感描繪年輕金髮的瑪麗 - 德雷莎・華特（Marie -Thérèse Walter）。她於1927年1月邂逅畢加索後，對其藝術創作帶來前所未有的深遠影響。《寫信的女人》是一幅出色的瑪麗 - 德雷莎肖像畫，作品洋溢著幸福、親密的感覺，與其他畢加索作於1930年代初的作品一樣，見證了畢卡索藝術生涯中的一個高峰。

認識瑪麗 - 德雷莎後，畢加索湧現出澎湃的創作靈感。她年輕又純真，而且充滿了活力、熱情與愛，為畢卡索藝術創作的每一方面都重新注入新能量。到1931年初，她以幸福而歡欣的形象佔據畢卡索的雕像和畫作創作中。在《寫信的女人》中，瑪麗 - 德雷莎坐在窗邊華麗的啡色皮革椅子上，專注地寫作。窗外的陽光和淺藍色天空映進寧靜的房間，照亮她精緻的五官。
畢卡索於布瓦杰魯古堡里創作出《寫信的女人（瑪麗 - 德雷莎）》。該城堡位於巴黎西北部諾曼第的村落吉索爾，寧靜清幽、風景如畫。1930年夏季買下這座古堡後，他在這裡創作出大量以瑪麗 - 德雷莎為題材的傑作，包括繪於1932年的《夢》（私人珍藏；塞沃斯編 《畢卡索作品全集》，第7冊，圖號364；於1997年11月10日在紐約佳士得以破紀錄的48,402,500美元成交）、《裸女、葉和半身像》（2010年5月4日於紐約佳士得以破紀錄的106,482,500美元成交）以及《坐在紅色扶手椅的裸女》（倫敦泰特美術館；塞沃斯編 《畢卡索作品全集》，第7冊，圖號365）。
佳士得印象派及現代藝術部副主席Giovanna Bertazzoni表示：「《寫信的女人（瑪麗 - 德雷莎）》繪於1934年，當時畢卡索正與年輕貌美的瑪麗 - 德雷莎熱戀。在兩人相遇之初，她已經開始影響畢加索的創作，而於布瓦熱盧古堡繪畫此畫時，瑪麗 - 德雷莎不但完全俘虜了他的心，更對他的創作帶來深遠影響。畫作由畢卡索本人收藏直至1961年，除了意味他對瑪麗 - 德雷莎的深愛之情，同時也反映該畫作對他意義非凡。
「近年各地藏家更是對畢卡索以其繆斯為題材的肖像畫有不可解的偏愛與興趣，他的魅力席捲全球，吸引來自歐洲、美洲和亞洲的藏家。中國藏家同樣也為這位西方藝壇泰斗及其破革風格所吸引。這幅張力非凡的經典作品充滿了畢卡索的私人情感，我們很高興能透過公開拍賣呈獻這幅佳作，亦期待作品能在拍賣前的巡展中觸動各地藏家。」他補充道。

London – Pablo Picasso’s tender portrait Femme écrivant (Marie-Thérèse) (1934, estimate: £25,000,000-40,000,000) will be a leading highlight of Christie’s Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, in London on 27 June 2017 as part of 20th Century at Christie’s, a series of sales that take place from 17 to 30 June 2017. Painted on 26 March 1934, Pablo Picasso’s Femme écrivant (Marie-Thérèse) is a joyous, colour-filled and deeply personal portrayal of Marie-Thérèse Walter, the young, blond-haired woman who, when she entered the artist’s life in January 1927, influenced the course of his art in an unprecedented manner. Femme écrivant is one of the greatest portraits of Marie-Thérèse, a radiant and intimate depiction of Picasso’s lover, which, along with the preceding paintings of the early 1930s, epitomises one of the finest phases in the artist’s career. The painting will be on view in Hong Kong from 5 to 9 of June 2017 before being exhibited in London from 17 to 27 June 2017.
